Woe Unto America!

We are at a time in our history where what we do now will determine the fate of our nation in the eyes of God.  From the time the puritans landed in the New World, to the time of our nation’s founding, God has blessed our country.  We have seen growth and prosperity unprecedented in world history.  Why?  Because God blessed us.  Why did God bless us?  Because we loved and worshiped Him.

In the words of Ronald Reagan, “We are the light shining on the hill”, a light shining for all the world to see and take notice. We were leading the world in prosperity, we were a word power militarily, we were the envy of every nation because we had the moral high ground.  We showed the world what it was to be Godly.  We showed the world what it was to be good.  And we showed the world that we were afraid of no one.  We were afraid of no one not only because of our military might, but because we were on the side of God. People from around the world wanted to come here to America to be part of this once great nation.  They wanted to live the “American dream.”

Now they come to try to destroy us.

Throughout our history we have seen many blessing from our Lord shown in the growth of our nation.  Sure, we have seen many curses as well, such as drought, earthquakes, floods, and other natural disasters and catastrophes. But we survived them all in one way or the other.  We survived by people helping people, we survived because God wanted us to survive. These same disasters and catastrophes are going on today. We survived it then but what about today? Can we survive?

As time went on, we began to turn our back on God.  We took God out of our schools, we took God out of the main streets of our cities, out of our public functions and public buildings.  In the last 50+ years we have tried to put God in the closet while we let sin out of the closet and into the main stage of our life.  We think bad is good, and good is bad.  We think wickedness is the wave of the future.

Our society has become more callused, more unheeding of God’s word and God’s plan. Our society awards the depraved and curses the godly.  Just look what is happening right in front of us. Riots are named “peaceful protest”, looting stores is OK because it will feed some poor family. Defund the police!

Law enforcement is being attacked in unprecedented ways. May of our fine men and women in blue are being attacked just for doing their job. Many of these same men and women are leaving the force because there is no more respect for law enforcement.

The Bible says: “ Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. (Matthew 5:9) What happened?

We as Christians must fight for our right to worship God as we want, as God demands. If we offend the ungodly, we must pay a price. Churches are being forced to close or risk financial penalties or even jail time. This not only is unconstitutional, but it is against the Will of God.

We must STAND UP FOR JESUS!

God has not let this go unnoticed.  He even has warned us.  Through His word he has told us what will happen.

The book of Isaiah was written to call the nation of Judah back to God.  This could also have been written to call America back to God.

There are many verses that all you have to do us substitute the words Jerusalem and Judah for America and you have a very accurate picture of what is in store for our country.

^“For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water, ² The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient, ³ The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.” ~ Isaiah 3:1-3 (KJV)

This is us today.  We have lost the military might we once had, we have lost the wise council of some of judges, and the pulpit us under fire in the hope of silencing them, silencing the word of God.

Our businesses are closing due to the dictatorship of many of our states’ governors. Business that remain open are be blackmailed to go along with these insane mandates that help no one except the dictators and their followers. This is a power grab, make no mistake about it.

The entrepreneur is afraid to start a business because he may not be able to afford it if they follow these mandates.

Where have all the wise men gone? Where have all the honorable men gone?  They are here but afraid to come out into the light, because the darkness descends.
^“And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them. ⁵ And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.” ~ Isaiah 3:4 (KJV)

Just look around you.  Just look at our society.  Some of our state governments have become so oppressive that it is hard to do what is right.

Look at some of our children, they lack respect for authority, for their parents, for God.  Society ignores the advice of the wise and the honorable.  Society has become a den of thieves, like the Temple of Solomon, in the time of Jesus. We as a nation, as a society, have given in to the “immediate gratification” instead of the grace of our Lord.

This is why our once great nation is on the verge of collapse. We are letting this happen. The pandemic is being used as an excuse for the riots, the looting, the killings, the anarchy. We got so complacent in recent years that we didn’t see this coming.

We as a nation have given up on God. But God has not given up on us.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” ~ 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)

We must all bow down and repent and ask God’s forgiveness through his precious and glorious Son, Jesus Christ. Then we can once again be called “One Nation Under God!”
